Around the world, clean water is expensive and scarce. Both government and charity have failed to solve this problem.
To facilitate the design of next-generation enterprises to solve the clean water crisis, the Archimedes Project created the Ideation Lab. It is a three day event that borrows from hackathons and charrettes to bring together students and professionals from across sectors and disciplines to design a clean water or sanitation business concept for a selected country.
It calls on participants to challenge their assumptions in order to find a solution using existing technology and working within market constraints.During the three days of learning and design, nonprofit leaders, business leaders, academics and local practitioners are on hand in person and virtually to support the teams. After the event, participants and experts make commitments to seeing the enterprise developed, funded and launched.
